$1.2 Million + Raised For Children’s Miracle Network

East Texas really cares for their kids and it shows through the donations that were made to the Children's Miracle Network. Last August Mix 93-1 held the 18th annual Mix With Kids Children's Miracle Network radiothon for two days where more than $21,000 was pledged in donations to help sick and injured children right here in East Texas. That $21,000 went towards a larger East Texas total thanks to other fund raising events and corporate giving campaigns throughout the last fiscal year. There were golf tournaments, balloon sales in retail locations, giving change in drive thru containers, bake sales and old fashioned donations.

This past Sunday, CBS19 held the annual Children's Miracle Network telethon where all of these organizations, including Mix 93-1, had the opportunity to present an oversized check to CMN. Thanks to you, the dedicated and faithful Mix 93-1 listener, we were able to present a check to CMN totaling a little more than $21,000 and once all of the giving was reported Sunday afternoon, more than $1.2 million had been raised for the Children's Miracle Network right here in East Texas.

That money is going to be well spent on the children of East Texas! Coming up next month I will be taking part in spending that $1.2 million wisely for medical equipment and needs of East Texas children that are served by Christus Mother Frances Hospital and clinics throughout East Texas.
