2 ETX Natives Helped Miranda Lambert Showcase Rescue Pups At CMA

Lindale native Miranda Lambert is well-known for her love of rescue dogs, having founded Mutt Nation with her mom in 2009. Each year, she highlights a rescue organization during the annual Country Music Association Fest in hopes of finding forever homes for these floofs.

For CMA Fest 2018, Miranda's mother asked Tyler native Tammy Stautzenberger Gonzales for help showcasing animals from the Nashville Humane Association.

Tammy owns 3 Dogs & A Cat Rescue Photography, and her mission is to help homeless animals find forever homes through portrait photography, stating on her website:

We’ve all seen the typical photos of animals available for adoption – they are nothing short of an ugly mugshot. Being a photographer, I know that a picture is worth a thousand words and I quickly realized that for these pets it is worth so much more. I have made it my focus to try and make a difference in the lives of these animals by making them look like pets, not rejects.

Tammy has worked with several area rescue shelters and at several events in the East Texas area. She said she's known Miranda's mom for several years and was delighted to help out with Miranda's mission.

Tammy and her son flew to Nashville during the first week of June, and she told me they were scouring the area for props up to the day of the shoot!

From the looks of these adorable portraits, they did quite well, which includes artwork from yet another East Texas native. The portrait props in the background were donated by Amy Tyndell, a former Jacksonville, Texas, resident!
