A Complete Thanksgiving Meal Compliments Of Lucky Larry
If you're a last minute planner (like I am sometimes), you might not have your complete Thanksgiving dinner planned yet and I'm here to help! I did a quick search and found some traditional Thanksgiving dinner recipes to help you out on your last minute planning!
The Turkey
Every Thanksgiving dinner should be center around a succulent and juicy turkey. You can try this recipe for a roasted garlic and meyer lemon rubbed turkey. Check out the recipe from the Huffington Post.
The Stuffing
It's a natural pairing and every time I think of turkey I think of dressing. Now I know there's a huge variety of dressing - do you make it with bread or cornbread? I'm a cornbread kind of guy. So in this recipe it says you can substitute cornbread for bread. However, I DO NOT turn down my grandmothers recipe for bread/cornbread stuffing - sorry, I'm not turning that one over!
The Green Bean Casserole
Green beans have come a long way and now they're on just about everyone Thanksgiving table in the form of a casserole. You can't go wrong with Paula Deen's Green Bean recipe.
The Sweet Potatoes
Sweet potatoes are one of my family favorites. Here is a great recipe - the only thing I would add to it is maybe some marshmallows on top once it comes out of the oven or just before coming out.
The Pecan Pie
Now some would say the perfect ending to a Thanksgiving meal would be pumpkin pie. Here's where I disagree! My grandfather makes the best pecan pies in the world! Sorry again, I won't be divulging this recipe either! But I did find a simple southern pecan pie online that you can try out though!
