It’s about time! While he initially described the release date as “Mapril,” Adam Lambert has finally confirmed that his highly anticipated sophomore album, ‘Trespassing’ will drop on May 15.

Lambert described ‘Trespassing’ as “an exciting journey through the past two years of my life.” The ‘American Idol‘ alum executive produced the project and took a reflective approach to the work. “It’s been a transformative period and I really wanted to make music from what I’ve experienced,” Lambert said in a statement. “All these songs honestly explore the ups and downs of my reality.”

That reality sounds like a lot of fun to us. “There’s party music, sex music, f—ed-up-relationship S&M music,” Lambert said. “But every song explores something real.”

Lambert’s been taking his time on the effort, as it’s been pushed back from its original release date of March 20. He also had some A-list help on the record, including Pharrell Williams, Dr. Luke, Nile Rogers and Bruno Mars.

Considering what we’ve heard so far, we’re already starting a countdown! In the meantime, you can preorder the album on Lambert’s official website and tide yourself over with his remix set of ‘Better Than I Know Myself.’
