After Kelly Clarkson Sells the Texas House, What Next?

We've known for a couple of months now that Kelly Clarkson is leaving Texas; selling her home in Mansfield, near Dallas-Fort Worth for $1.5 million or so.

Where is she going?

CMT News says Kelly is headed for Nashville.

That would make sense. Her boyfriend of more than a year, Brandon Blackstock, lives in Nashville. That's Reba McEntire's stepson, and he manages Blake Shelton. So Brandon has roots in Nashville, and it's a place that offers a boat load of recording studios so Kelly can get some work done when she needs to.

Taylor Swift bought a house in Massachusetts recently near the family of her boyfriend Connor Kennedy, but Kelly isn't going quite that far. Instead of plunking down the money for a house and taking on the strings of home ownership, she's buying a condo in Nashville. A little more temporary perhaps, and Kelly told CMT she doesn't really know where she wants to live yet long-term. If it works out with Brandon, Nashville would likely be home base for Kelly.

We've sort of enjoyed claiming Kelly as a Texan over the years. But once a Texan, always a Texan, right? Friends and tours will keep bringing Kelly back.

Anyone else hedging bets that Kelly and Brandon will be one of the next celebrity couples to announce an engagement? I'm guessing early 2013.
