Before Alicia Keys even stepped out on stage, her persona was embodied in an anecdote told by 'Criminal Minds' star Shemar Moore. He first met her about 10 years ago and was trying to smooth talk the songstress, to which Keys replied, "I respect your flirt game, but my man situation is handled." Strong, sassy and classy!

Keys kicked off her performance at the 2013 People's Choice Awards with a more subdued version of her uptempo track, 'Girl on Fire.' Sporting a red ringleader's jacket, Alicia took over piano duties with accompaniment by an acoustic guitarist and a couple of backup singers.

Later, the pace picked up and Keys was joined on stage by a slew of male dancers in suits (like we said... classy!) for 'New Day.' Keys abandoned her usual post behind the ivories and worked the stage with her dapper dancers. For someone who doesn't typically venture far from her piano during her live performances, Alicia's stunning vocals did not suffer one bit.

Our favorite part of the performance? Getting to see hubby Swizz Beatz with one of their kids jamming out to mom's performance. Cute!
