Lots of things about tennis can be related to heat - the heat on the ball, the temperature, the players oh, and did I mention the temperature?

This year's Australian Open is in full swing right now, but with temperatures well above 100 degrees hot has a whole new definition to the players.

Dehydration has become normal to everyone in Melbourne, more than 200 cases of dehydration have been sent to local hospitals. Players have reported the soles of their shoes and water bottles melting during their matches on several occasions.

Many players have even been wearing ice vests to stay as cool as possible. Without advances to keep everyone cool, hallucinations and cramps would be rampant for everyone.

Not only are the players and spectators struggling with their health, but the players have also admitted that their skills and reaction times in the matches have been compromised as well.
