History could repeat itself this October in Los Angeles. According to the “official” MDNA tour Twitter account, Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera, both of whom made out with Madonna onstage at the 2003 MTV VMAs, may be appearing onstage with the Material Girl.
This sounds a bit like desperation, but word is that the powers-that-be at ‘American Idol‘ offered pop diva Katy Perry a whopping $20 million to join the show as a judge. Whoa. That’s $2 million more than top diva Mariah Carey got to board the judge’s panel, and she brings more history and star power. What gives?
This should shock no one, given the strength of the little monster army and the major promotional and marketing push behind it, but Lady Gaga‘s debut scent Fame is the No. 1 fragrance in the U.S. Congrats, Gaga! That is no small feat.
A new, minute-long ‘X Factor‘ promo has landed, featuring new judge Britney Spears gushing about a contestant. If you pay attention, you’ll notice that it’s set to ‘Don’t Fail Me Now,’ the new single from Season 1 winner Melanie Amaro. The song factors prominently in the spot, paired with the uplifting, dream-come-true footage of the judges complimenting and pushing through the top tier of talent during the audition phases.
Another day, another snippet of information or a visual from Christina Aguilera‘s upcoming “comeback” album. Remember, ‘Bionic’ bombed back in 2010, but since then, Xtina has established herself as a force to be reckoned with via ‘The Voice.’ Now it’s prime time for her to get back to doing what she does best and that’s be a pop star.
We’ll give her credit for looking like she is being the bigger person, as Madonna extended the olive branch to nemesis Elton John. During a concert in France, Madge dedicated her song ‘Masterpiece’ to the singer with whom she has been feuding. But her gesture came with a little bit of a backhand. Come on, you didn’t think Madge would be all warm and fuzzy, did you?
Gwen Stefani has made no secret of the fact that while she had fun being a ‘Hollaback Girl’ and releasing two successful solo albums while No Doubt were on an extended break, she didn’t prefer being without her boys in her band. She’s gone on record to say that her solo career will remain in the rear view, and now, she’s compared that period of her professional life to playing a role and pretending.
A criminal picked the wrong rap legend to mess with!
LL Cool J was the victim of a burglary by a transient who broke into his home in the early hours of Wednesday (Aug. 22) morning. LL, born James Todd Smith, was forced to defend his hearth and engaged in a violent confrontation with the man.
Not much concrete or confirmed info is known about Lady Gaga‘s forthcoming new album other than it’s called ‘ARTPOP‘ and that it may include a song called ‘Princess Die.’ Oh, and it’ll lack the maturity that defined ‘Born This Way.’ So we do know some stuff.
However, Gaga and her makeup artist Tara Savelo, with whom she exchanges plenty of BFF tweets, had a little engagement on Twitter about the record and the songs, which Savelo claims are influenced by the green stuff. Gaga herself then shared that drugs and Disney princesses are the key inspiration for the album, facetiously of course.
Could Taylor Swift‘s record-breaking ‘We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together’ be the next ‘Call Me Maybe’ in terms of covers and parodies? Well, Katy Perry and her BFF that’s not Rihanna, ‘Raising Hope’ star Shannon Woodward, have started things off with their adorbs parody of Swift’s kiss off anthem! Only it’s not a boy that is getting kicked to the curb in their version. Instead, Perry’s feline Kitty Purry is! Gasp.
There’s lots of Lady Gaga visuals today. She dropped a new trailer for the upcoming short film based on her Fame fragrance and a recently uploaded episode of her Monstervision series finds her playing with her godson Zachary (dad is Elton John) and flashing her boobs while dancing with her mother on Christmas. Never a dull moment in Gagaville.
All she wants to do is rock your body! A new Christina Aguilera song has leaked, and it’s called ‘Your Body.’ We’ve heard the demo form and a snippet of a remixed version and they sound like two totally different songs, since that’s what happens during the many phases in which a song is produced.
