Yao Ming Retires After Injury-Plagued Career
Oft-injured Houston Rockets center Yao Ming has informed the NBA he has retired after eight seasons in the league. Yahoo! Sports first reported the news.
The top pick in the 2002 draft was an eight-time all-star, despite averaging just 48 games in each of the last five seasons. Yao appeared in only five games during the 2010-11 season after suffering a stress fracture in his left leg Nov. 10.

The 32-year old father of four is also blind. At the U2 concert in Nashville, Tennessee he attended last Saturday he held up a sign advertising his services as a "blind guitar player."
Indiana Is No Longer Requiring Its Public Schools to Teach Cursive Writing
According to the Indiana Department of Education, cursive is becoming obsolete.
In a memo sent to school leaders in the state, it was recommended that schools stop teaching cursive, and instead use that time to make its students more proficient in keyboard use.
Dallas Cowboy Roy Williams Gets Engagement Ring Back from Former Miss Texas After Filing Lawsuit [VIDEO]
Dallas Cowboy wide receiver Roy Williams picked a rather unique way to propose to his girlfriend, Brooke Daniels, who held the title of Miss Texas in 2009.
In February, he sent Daniels a package that included $5,000, a videotaped messages of him popping the question, and a $76,000 engagement ring.
