We are all Thankful for Thanksgiving. It’s the traditions and hours spent in the kitchen that make it a such “chicken soup for the soul.” But with all the traditions and endless menu planning and coordinating schedules with extended family we all get worn out. This year maybe consider taking some of the pressure off of yourself and treat yourself to a day out of the kitchen and enjoy a traditional Thanksgiving meal at a restaurant.

Local East Texas Fire Departments in need of supplies. (i.e Gatorade, water, fruit, etc etc).  As you know we have many hard working men and women out fighting the wild fires that are endangering lives and destroying everything in it’s path.  We have been able to contact a few local area fire departments and have a list of where you can drop off some much needed supplies.

With the fires still burning in our listening area we got with officials from Red Cross to help you be ready in the event of an evacuation from your home. We hope you never have to implement this but we would rather be safe than sorry.

Barbeque is serious business here in Texas.  Don’t think that throwing a chunk of meat on a grill is the same as BBQ’ing.  Barbequing is a method of cooking meat in a slow, well marinated, rubbed charcoal/wood smoked way to enhance the flavor and tenderize the meat.  Anyone new to Tyler or visiting needs to treat themselves to the array of flavors at Stanly’s BBQ will stun the unsuspecting taste buds of all patrons.
