Late-night show host Jimmy Kimmel hosted the 2012 Primetime Emmy Awards last night, and if you're wondering how he did... well, not great. There were a few semi-funny bits here and there, but for the most part, the presenters were more entertaining than he was.

'Hatfields & McCoys,' The History Channel's three-part, six-hour mini-series dramatizing one of the most famous blood feuds in American history, may not have taken home the 2012 Emmy Award for Outstanding Miniseries or Movie, but it can boast having the best lead actor in that category.

Kevin Costner, who portrayed Anse "Devil" Hatfield, took home the Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Miniseries. And if you didn't see his performance... well, as he said during his acceptance speech, "Thank god for TV reruns."

We knew 'Modern Family' would win something at the 2012 Emmy Awards. After all, the cast and crew pretty much dominated the Comedy Series, and Supporting Actor and Supporting Actress categories. But probably no one expected Julie Bowen, who plays Claire Dunphy on the show, to beat out both Kristen Wiig (and her many 'SNL' personalities) and the late Kathryn Joosten of 'Desperate Housewives' in the Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series category! One of the most anticipated movies this year was supposed to be 'The Great Gatsby,' the F. Scott Fitzgerald novel adapted for the big screen and directed by Baz Lurhmann. That is, until Warner Bros. pulled the film's December release date -- where it was set to go up against 'The Hobbit' and 'Django Unchained' -- even after the studio already teased us with an incredible trailer featuring the glamorous-looking Leonardo DiCaprio all suited up.

At 8:46 a.m. on Tuesday, September 11, most national news outlets took a break from their regular programming to air a special "moment of silence" from New York City and Washington D.C. to honor the victims of 9/11. We say "most" because, as it turns out, not everyone was a participant.
