In October it was announced that Avril Lavigne, who is engaged to Chad Kroeger, would release a cover of Nickelback's 'How You Remind Me,' and now, Chavril fans, that moment is here.

In this rendition, the hackneyed hit single is reworked into a haunting piano ballad, giving it new life. The new arrangement acts as if Lavigne looked in the fridge, found a bunch of old leftovers and created a delicious dish. And for that, we salute her.

The pop singer recorded the cover as a promotional single for the Japanese animated film 'One Piece Film: Z.' The soundtrack was released through digital retailers on Dec. 11 via Sony Music Japan, and, according to Josepvinaixa.com, also features Lavigne's previously released cover of Joan Jett's 'Bad Reputation.' The tune was included as a bonus track on her 2011 LP 'Goodbye Lullaby.'

The Canadian star is currently working on her fifth studio album, which will include material co-written by Kroeger. Epic Records' L.A. Reid told MTV that the he expects "to release it very soon ... I'd like to get it out this year, but time seems to be flying. If we don't, it will be top of the new year."
