Ben Affleck‘s Batman movie might show the superhero locked up.

According to an anonymous source from Batman On Film, Affleck’s upcoming solo Batman movie might be set in Arkham Asylum, the psychiatric hospital for the criminally insane. The institution from the DC comics universe was most recently explored in the acclaimed Rocksteady video game franchise, Batman: Arkham Asylum. Batman On Film reports that Affleck’s Dark Knight might be locked up in the new movie. Why? No idea. How? No clue.

Affleck recently said his Batman movie, which he’s co-written with DC Comics’ Geoff Johns, will be focused on an original story, but that doesn’t mean he won’t take inspiration from elsewhere. Affleck said he would “borrow and steal great things that have been done before in the comics“ for his movie, which is where an Arkham tie-in could make sense. The asylum has been featured in a handful of comic books, but Batman on Film suspects that Grant Morrison’s Arkham Asylum: A Serious House on Serious Earth, which finds the Caped Crusader at the asylum where a riot is taking place. Previously rumors claims that the solo film will also be jam-packed with Batman villians, which would make a Arkham setting all the more fitting.

Of course, this is just a rumor. But if Affleck and Johns do take story inspiration from the comics, Arkham would be a pretty cool setting to see tackled on the big screen. Until then, we can expect to see Batfleck’s next appearance in Suicide Squad next month, which director David Ayer has described as “freaking scary,” followed by Justice League on November 17, 2017.
