Collin Boyd, who is eight years old and attends Owen Elementary in Bullard loves baseball. But recently Collin has had to deal with more than any 8-year-old should have to. Collin is suffering from undifferentiated soft tissue sarcoma. I can barely spell it, much less say it. We can help Collin fight his cancer by attending the benefit baseball tournament in his honor! ‘Strikeout Cancer 4 Collin’ is a baseball tournament with hitting challenges and a home run derby.

The tournament is set for Saturday May, 12 at Faulkner Park in Tyler. The games start at 8 a.m. with the home run derby finals at 6:30pm.

There will be a silent auction and a blood drive at the event, so if want to roll up your sleeves for Collin — great!

All the proceeds from the event will help pay Collin’s medical bills, travel expenses and other expenses needed. You can make monetary donations at all Regions Banks for the Jimmy Boyd FBO Collin Boyd account.

Bring the entire family and enjoy a day of fun while helping Collin fight this horrific disease. For more information contact Darrell Welch 903-253-4833.
