All of East Texas has been praying for Lindale Volunteer Fire Department firefighter Joe Yeakly, who was injured while fighting a house fire earlier this year. Now there is some great news, Joe is showing signs of improvement.   Lindale Fire department  say that Joe is now stable, and is making improvements at Parkland Hospital in Dallas. Yeakley has been a firefighter for over 30 years,

Today there will be another benefit for Joe and his family at Lindale High School.  The event will offer a fajita dinner and a concert from Lindale's own Casey Rivers. Other local performers include Steven Giles, Mike Huff, McFarlin & Mabry and Iron Mountain Project.

From 5 to 7 p.m. the fajita dinner will be served in the Lindale High School cafeteria. The show will start at 7 p.m. in the Lindale High School performing arts center. Seating will be on a first-come basis and donations will be taken at the door for both events.

This event is one of many benefits that the community has organized to raise money to help his family with expenses while Mr. Yeakley is recovering.

There will be more benefits for Joe and his family too. Here is list of those events so you can mark your calendars!

March 17th – Whataburger in Lindale located at 311 S Main in Lindale, from 5p-7p will donate 50% of all sales in honor of Joe. Lindale FD will also have a Fire Engine on display  and will be accepting donations.

 March 25th –  IHOP located at 3408 S Main St in Lindale, will donate 20% of sales to benefit FF Yeakley Relief Fund.

 May 24th – "Not Your Average Joe" Auto & Cycle show – Pickers Pavilion. Enjoy a car show, live Music, door prizes, and more.
