Beastie Boys Rapper, MCA, Dead At 47

TMZ.com has confirmed what GlobalGrind.com announced, Beastie Boys rapper MCA has passed away.  MCA's real name was Adam Yauch and he was undergoing treatment for a cancerous parotid gland and lymph node for which he had surgery for  and was going through radiation therapy.  Although at this time it hasn't been announced that his death has been connected to his cancer.

The Beastie Boys were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame earlier this year, but because of his condition he was not able to attend.

As the rapper for the group, the Beastie Boys turned out some chart topping albums, including License To Ill, Paul's Boutique, Check Your Head and Ill Communication.  MCA co-founded the group in 1979 with Mike D and Ad Rock.

MCA is survived by his wife and daughter.
