Beyonce + Jay-Z Did Not Purchase Scarsdale Estate

Yesterday we reported that Beyonce, Jay-Z and Blue Ivy may be relocating from their TriBeCa apartment to the suburbs of Scarsdale, N.Y. Locals of Westchester County may (or may not) be pleased to hear that the Carter family has no plans to move to Scarsdale — at least to the home Global Grind reported about.

The pictures posted on Global Grind‘s site are in fact of a home in Scarsdale — but are old shots of when it was being built in 2008 for different owners. Once people heard the rumors, and found out a new house was being built, they figured there was some sort of correlation. “[People assumed] if Beyonce + Jay-Z are moving, they’ll probably have a new house. And if there’s a new house being built — it’s probably theirs,” states a Scarsdale resident. He added that the rumors of the uber famous couple moving to the burbs first began several years ago — then resurfaced yesterday. A simple trip to the town hall could have settled all of this!

So there you have it. Confirmation from well placed, reliable Scarsdale sources. Besides, if Bey and Hov stay in the City, there’s a higher chance we may bump into them, right?
