Unless you live under a rock, you know that the fourth segment of the Twilight Series, 'Breaking Dawn: Part 1', was released last Friday. I've never been one to get into the whole midnight premiere thing, but this year I thought I'd see what the fuss was all about.

I didnt' realize just how hardcore these people are about their 'Twilight'. My friend Lauren and I got to Carmike about 6:45, which I thought was crazy. But we got there and there were already people lined up that had been there since 3:00 pm earlier that day. I ended up being glad we got there so early because we got to sit inside instead of wait outside in the freezing cold. We had our PillowPets, Snuggies, and a set of cards: we were ready for our camp-out. There were people of all ages from children to adults. I saw my bosses lovely wife in her "I <3 Vampires" shirt. She was even more excited than I was. Just goes to show how the series can appeal to anyone.

There were people dressed up as the 'Twilight' characters, playing 'Twilight' card games, and the only thing they talked about the entire time was the series. People in line were literally fighting over Jacob and Edward. The line to get in stretched almost all the way around the building. We waited inside for about four hours until they let us into the theater, where we waited for about another hour and a half or so. And then the clock struck 12:07 am- it was time.

As soon as the lights dimmed the room went crazy. Of course we had to sit through 10 minutes of those lame ads, and then 25 more minutes of previews. But the movie finally started and the wait was absolutely worth it. The next 135 minutes were filled with drama, laughter, tears, and super intense moments. I'm not going to spoil it for you, because if you haven't seen it yet you will.

If you've never gone to a midnight premiere of a movie, you should. It is definitely an experience that you won't forget. Get there early so you can sit inside, bring a friend, some snacks, and something to pass the time. The last segment in the Twilight Saga, 'Breaking Dawn: Part Two' is scheduled to premeire November 16, 2012. You have a year to prepare. This is definitely something you don't want to miss.
