Who is up for a kitty cat road trip? ... Or maybe just incorporating kitty cats into an already great trek around Texas by stopping at cat cafes in three great Texas cities.

Cat lovers, this one is for you. The next time you're traveling to Houston, Austin or the Dallas area, I've got the purr-fect destinations for you. Texas Hill Country recently featured three cat cafe's that you need to visit, and I'm already planning my trip.

This is best time of year to head to the Texas state capitol, because on your way to the Blue Cat Cafe, you can also enjoy the blue bonnets in bloom. Spring road trips to Austin are my favorite thanks to the state flower of Texas. So what should you expect from your visit? An opportunity to hang out with cats from the Austin Humane Society, most of which are available for adoption, while you hang out and grab some food.

If you're in the Dallas area doing some shopping, take the time to head to Vista Ridge Mall where you'll find The Charming Cat Corner. These kitties are also available for adoption through Kitty Save, and when you visit you pay an admission fee to hang with them. With your admission you are granted a coupon to the food court, and are allowed to return with your vittles while you visit the kitties. I'm smiling just watching others play with the little loves.

If you find yourself in Houston, complete with the traffic headache, de-stress with a visit to the El Gato Coffeehouse. They are ready to help kitties in the city find fur-ever homes, and preparing to open April 8th. Follow their updates on Facebook, and make a plan to visit the kitty aristocracy found at El Gato Coffeehouse. The kitties are up for adoption through the Houston Humane Society.
