It's a fact: We're always on our phones. There's probably some statistic out there that says there's a 78% chance you're reading this right now from your phone.
And since we live in a society where it's become more accepted to talk via text instead of by voice, why not do it with us?

I like the cute parts of Halloween! Like the cute, cuddlely kid costumes and the nice, harmless pumpkins.

October 2, 2012 I have to admit, I didn't try the delicacy that is Frito pie until I moved to Texas. Growing up in Nebraska we sometimes mixed chili, cheese, and saltine crackers together, but the genius of replacing the Saltines with Fritos just didn't occur to us.
Texans are onto something! Frito Pie is delicious, and who cares how fattening.
We Texans broke a Guiness World Record on Monday with a Frito Pie that weighed over a thousand pounds. Some states might be ashamed, but in Texas its a badge we wear proudly. We just may need a Tums to go with our badge.

October 1, 2012 The risk was just too great, so organizers made the decision to shut down the rides and close the gates to the East Texas State Fair early.
The fair had 43,400 people in attendance on Friday and the midway actually broke a record for the amount of money brought in.
It could have been a record-setting weekend perhaps, but organizers called it quits and cancelled the Sunday evening concert.
September 28, 2012 Dodge ball has always been fun, but Ben Stiller gave it a popularity boost with the movie that came out in 2004. For awhile there, everyone was yelling out "Dodge ball!" randomly. Now that just makes you seem weird, but the movie is still worth the rental.
Next Saturday, there's a Dodge ball tournament coming to Tyler.
September 27, 2012 Tyler is preparing for the excitement and pageantry of the Texas Rose Festival and getting ready for the many visitors that will be coming to the Rose capital of Texas the weekend of October 18th - 21st. Visitors to Tyler that weekend will be treated to the Texas Rose Festival Show, Texas Rose Festival Coronation, Texas Rose Festival Queen's Tea and the Texas Rose Festival Parade! For the 3rd year in a row, the roses will be honored all month long with the Rose Season.

We have all seen the commercials on T.V. of families not having enough food. Parents doing without so their children can have a meal. Hunger is a universal problem. Hunger does not just exist “over there” — every day in every community our neighbors are experiencing this devastating issue. This month in East Texas we are supporting East Texas Food Bank Hunger Action Month. In just thirty days we could stomp out hunger by implementing the three action items below.
This year's edition of Taste of Home Cooking School at Harvey Convention Center in Tyler was a wonderful success, thanks to all of you!
