We Consume HOW Many Calories at Thanksgiving?
The season of eating continues this week.
We stuffed our faces full of candy at Halloween, and now it's on to the big Thanksgiving meal. This Thursday we'll sit around the TV watching the Cowboys' game and graze all day on turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce, and of course that green bean casserole with the crunchy onions on top that seems to find its way to most tables.
Have you ever put down the fork long enough to count the calories? Prepare yourself for the shock!

To Burn Off the Candy Corn, The Workout is HOW Long?
One of those evil yet delicious creations around the office this time of year is the candy corn/dry roasted peanut mixture. Oh my. Do you have it at your desk? Yum! Whoever started it was a borderline genius. It's sweet and salty. It's crunchy and chewy. It's got all the culinary opposites that your mouth tells you it needs and of course, does not. But I digress.
If you've popped some handfuls of candy corn today or this Halloween season, how long does it take to burn it off? We have some working out to do. I'll give you a hint. To burn off one handful of candy corn - just ONE handful - we've got to walk longer than 30 minutes. Oh dear.
Candy Corn Tops List Of Most Popular Halloween Candy
Today, October 30th, is National Candy Corn Day and it just happens to top the list of the most popular candy for Halloween. This little brightly colored candy was created in the 1880's by the Wunderlee Candy Company and each piece is approximately three times larger than an actual kernel of corn. It also happens to be one of my favorite Halloween candies, however, my wife found a variation of this popular candy in the store the other day that's become one of my faves, taffy candy corn.
