Chili cooks will line the drive that wraps around Gander Mountain this Saturday preparing their best chili for competition in the 35th Ever Rose City Chili Cook Off.

In addition to the official CASI Chili and Showmanship competitions, cooks can compete in beans as well. There is also a junior chili competition for kids, 7-17. Cooks must be registered by 9 a.m. The entry fee for CASI chili is $20, Beans and Junior Chili entries are $10. The Junior competition will be governed by CASI rules as well.

Beans will be turned in first at 12 p.m., junior chili will turn in at 1p.m. and CASI chili turn in time is noon. If you want to judge any of these competitions contact Blu Monday-Daniels at 903-372-2818.

In addition to the CASI chili competition, cooks will also compete for the coveted People's Choice Award. Public tasting will begin at 11 a.m. A $3 donation to Ragan's Hope will purchase a tasting cup, spoon and voting ballot.
