With the hoildays upon us schedules must change, the City of Tyler has now released their holiday schedule for office closings, trash pick-ups and more.

City offices will observe the following holiday schedule on Thursday, Nov. 28 and Friday, Nov. 29 for the Thanksgiving Holiday.

Holiday Garbage Collection

The Tyler Solid Waste office and the Tyler Recycling Center will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 28. Due to the holiday, citizens whose garbage is normally collected on Thursday will have their garbage collected on Wednesday. Garbage will be collected on regularly scheduled days Monday, Tuesday and Friday.

Monday, Nov. 25: Regular Collection
Tuesday, Nov. 26: Regular Collection
Wednesday, Nov. 27: Routes Normally Collected Thursday, Recycling picked up as usual
THURSDAY, NOV. 28: NO COLLECTION
Friday, Nov. 29: Regular Collection

During the holiday week, priority will be given to household waste. Crews will collect as much curb trash and yard waste as time allows. Due to garbage being collected on Wednesday, Nov. 27 during the holiday week, subscription curbside recycling customers are asked to leave their recycling out until it is picked up. It may take until the end of the day on Friday, Nov. 29.

Tyler Pounds Regional Airport

The Airport administrative office will be closed Thursday, Nov. 28 and Friday, Nov. 29. Due to a reduced airline schedule on Nov. 28, the Terminal building will close at 4:30 p.m. and will operate a normal schedule on Friday, Nov. 29. Customers should contact their airline or check the airport website at www.flytyr.com for special holiday travel schedules.

Tyler Public Library

The Tyler Public Library will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 28 and Friday, Nov. 29. The Library will resume normal hours on Saturday, Nov. 30.

Tyler Transit Schedule

There will be no fixed-route or paratransit service on Thursday, Nov. 28 and Friday, Nov. 29. Service will resume on Saturday, Nov. 30.

Tyler Municipal Court

Tyler Municipal Court will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 28 and Friday, Nov. 29. The Court will resume normal hours on Monday, Dec. 2.

Gallery Main Street

Gallery Main Street will be closed Thursday, Nov. 28 and Friday, Nov. 29. The Gallery will resume normal hours on Saturday, Nov. 30.

Tyler Parks and Recreation

The Tyler Parks and Recreation administrative offices and the Senior Citizens Center will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 28 and Friday, Nov. 29; they will resume normal hours on Monday, Dec. 2.

The Glass Recreation Center will be closed Monday, Nov. 25 through Saturday, Nov. 30 for maintenance during the holiday break. The Glass Center will resume normal hours on Monday, Dec. 2.

The Goodman Museum will be closed from Thursday, Nov. 28 through Monday, Dec. 2 and will resume normal hours on Tuesday, Dec. 3.

Tyler Water Utilities

The TWU Business Office will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 28 and Friday, Nov. 29. The Water Business Office drive through will be closing at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 27. Anyone wishing to make a payment can place it in one of the two available drop boxes. There is one box located in front of the office at 511 Locust Street and a drive-up box in the Brookshire's parking lot on the corner of South Broadway Avenue and Rice Road. The payment will be credited on the next business day. Please do not drop cash into these boxes.
