The City of Tyler will host a second Innovation Pipeline and Makerspace Mixer to gather additional community feedback about this new program, from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 28.

The mixer will be hosted in the City University building located at 212 N. Border Ave. across from City Hall. The City invites area makers, artists, engineers, techies, entrepreneurs and creatives to share their thoughts about needed equipment, programming and space allocation for the new Innovation Pipeline building.

All guests will be invited to share their insights and suggestions for what equipment, software and space division should be included in the Innovation Pipeline Makerspace.

This meeting is meant to build upon the first Makerspace Mixer that was held Oct. 15. The Innovation Pipeline stems from the Mayor’s Industry Growth Initiative (IGI) and will be both a place and a network that brings together those working in Tyler to foster innovation and entrepreneurship.

The new Innovation Pipeline will include an “Innovator’s Laboratory” Makerspace to provide a place where innovation happens intentionally.
