Despite continually taking on varied and nuanced acting roles (including that of a farting corpse), Daniel Radcliffe will forever be remembered for his role as Harry Potter in the beloved book series' on-screen adaptations. And while he's only expressed gratitude for his time portraying The Boy Who Lived, Radcliffe's not exactly eager to be thrust back into the wizarding world, even as an audience member.

Radcliffe admitted during a recent interview with Stephen Colbert that he's in no rush to see author J.K. Rowling's new play Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, partly because he assumes he won't be able to enjoy it in peace.

“I want to see the show. I genuinely am intrigued and I’ve heard it’s fantastic. But I just feel like sitting in an audience of what will for the most of the near future be very enthusiastic Harry Potter fans might be like not a relaxing way to see a show,” he said. “So, not for the time being, but i’ve heard it’s fantastic.”

Colbert then asked if there's any chance Radcliffe may take issue with the way Jamie Parker (who plays Harry in the show) might interpret the role, but Radcliffe insisted he feels nothing but support for the actor.

"Jamie Parker is a wonderful actor, and I'm very happy to see him play me," he said. "All of the questions can shift to him now. He can do all the Harry press now.”
