If soul was Demi Lovato's aim for her forthcoming sixth album, she's already hitting the nail on the head.

As her new "Sorry Not Sorry" continued to set fire to singles charts, Lovato announced last night (August 23) her brand new LP, Tell Me You Love Me, will drop at the end of September. And already, fans are buzzing.

"These songs mean the world to me," Lovato wrote with the announcement, to cries of "GRAMMY IS COMING, BITCH" and "This is too much for my poor heart" from followers.

Lovato also released the album's eponymous track alongside the announcement, and "Tell Me You Love Me" soars. What kicks off with mysterious, reticent Bond-worthy horns explodes into a soaring belt-fest.

"Oh tell me you love me / I need someone / On days like this I do," Lovato broods on the chorus.

In 2016, Lovato told Latina that she was angling to produce a soul project for her sixth album, and that it was more artistically fulfilling than previous work.

“I don’t care about radio hits," she said. "When you try hard for that, it doesn’t happen. It’s songs like ‘Stone Cold’ that I don’t get tired of singing on tour. I get tired of singing ‘Give Your Heart a Break’ and even ‘Confident’ already. I have yet to reach my peak, and also, my voice is better now than it was a year ago. Now I can show people what I can do.”
