Beating around the bush? Demi Lovato's not doing it anymore, and her new "You Don't Do It For Me Anymore" off of forthcoming LP Tell Me You Love Me is proof she's done mincing her words.

Lovato released the track — her third from her forthcoming album — this morning (September 8), and proved she's committed to ushering in a new era of '90s soul-pop. The song's a longing, fiery dismissal that's equal parts cruel and beautiful — and it's good.

"I won't fall for your games, so don't hate me when I say / That you don't do it for me anymore," she belts with falsetto accents.

Lovato told MTV News last month that she had some misgivings about her new album's stark honesty. She noted songs may implicate someone fans know well.

“Sometimes you put out music that you just feel like everyone is going to know who it’s about,” she said. “Headlines are going to come out of it, and it’s like, when you write a song, you’re just being vulnerable, and you’re just writing about something that’s inspiring you, so all the baggage that comes with it is what I’m kind of nervous about.”
