Matchbox Twenty is sitting high on life right now, because they have the #1 album on Billboard's album charts with their latest release North.  The band hasn't had a number one album until now, their highest ranking on the charts was their last album Exile On Mainstream which was a best of collection that debuted at number three.  The band is excited and celebrating with North sitting at number one, but not the way they celebrated while making the album though!

In a previous interview with Rob Thomas, he mentioned that the band went on a $100,000 bender and spend $100,000 grand on wine and drank it all!  However, that may not be the actual truth though.  Matchbox Twenty drummer's Paul Doucette apparently sets the record straight with ABC News Radio.
