It was all about the pups on Saturday at Bergfeld Park in Tyler at the 14th Annual Pets in the Park event.

Proceeds went to the Humane Society of East Texas, which you may know is a selective admission, no-kill sanctuary for unwanted animals. Saturday's event helps the Humane Society with their mission of giving the animals a safe place to stay until they can be adopted. The Humane Society also offers low cost spay and neuter services.

It was chilly at times on Saturday, but that didn't stop the masses from bring the pups out to play.

Organizers knew there would be some kiddos there too, so they had a bounce house, rock climbing wall and a bungee trampoline. There were about 800 people there, and as you can imagine, tons of friendly pups too.

If you missed the event it's not too late to help with a donation. Or adopt! The Humane Society, is open today at 1823 CR 386, in Tyler for adoptions. Hours are 10am to 5pm on Sundays, and those hours hold every Thursday through Sunday. They do close from 1 to 2pm for lunch.
