After battling cancer, Donna Summer died this morning at the age of 63. TMZ reports that Summer was working on a new album and trying to finish it up and tried her best to keep the extent of her illness away from the public. Donna Summer was the queen of disco and had a string of hits throughout the 70's and 80's.

Donna won 5 Grammy Awards during her distinguished career and was the first woman to win a Grammy for Best Rock Vocal Performance, Female in 1979 for her song "Hot Stuff".
