East Texas Businesses Thank Veterans With Free Meals And Discounts
Veterans Day, formerly known as Armistice Day, commemorates the signing of the armistice that officially ended World War I in 1918. The formal declaration put an end to the war on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month in 1918. Each November 11th, American’s honor its military veterans throughout the country and overseas with parades, ceremonies and other events. This year several businesses are offering special deals or discounts to our veterans.
The following is a list of business that are honoring our veterans in special ways:
Applebees – veterans will receive a free meal from a special selection on their menu – they are also extending this to active duty members too
Chili’s – veterans will receive a free meal from a special selection on their menu – they are also extending this to active duty members too
Outback Steakhouse – veterans will receive a bloomin’ onion appetizer and soft drink with any meal purchased all week long
Subway – select locations will give veterans a free 6″ sub
Texas Roadhouse – veterans will receive a free meal, but offers vary by location
Home Depot – veterans and active duty members can receive 10% off purchase (see store for complete details)
Lowe’s Home Improvement – veterans and active duty members can receive 10% off purchase (see store for complete details)
