It's festival season in East Texas, and it's high time we enter some chili cook-offs, check out some car shows, ride some carnival rides, and eat some food on a stick. If we hop in the car on any given weekend, it's likely we can roll into festival somewhere, and Gladewater has a good one coming up in ten days.

Downtown Gladewater will be the spot for Gusher Days, and they'll have the chili cook-off on Saturday, April 21st.  Organizers say they'll give out prizes for best chili, first place bean, and People's Choice, with lots of other door prizes too.  Click HERE to enter.  The spicier and smokier the better, and put some cheddar on top!

If food competitions aren't your thing, they're planning on having a fishing tournament on Lake Gladewater, and horseshoe tournament too (not on the lake).  Plus a car show that will include cars, trucks, and motorcycles, and registration is fifteen bucks if you want to be part of it.

The carnival rides look like they'll be just right for little kids, with a Merry-go-Round, train, and ferris wheel, and they'll have a few bigger rides too.

Gusher Days kick off in Downtown Gladewater on Friday, April 20th and run through Saturday the 21st.  One of many fun, East Texas festivals happening this spring, so we can get outside and do some stuff before it gets too hot.  We'll keep 'em coming, so you can get them on your calendar.
