In honor of April being Parkinson's Awareness month, take a day to support those living with Parkinson's. A few hours on a nice walk through one of Tyler's beautiful parks can help loads of people. Raising money for scientific research for Parkinson's could improve someone's life dramatically. Lets all lend a hand.

Coming Saturday, May 4th, there will be an East Texas Parkinson's Optimism Walk. Starting at 11:30 in the morning and ending shortly after at two that afternoon, this event can help you help someone else. Participants will take a helping walk through Tyler's Rose Rudman Park.

This is an annual event hosted by the East Texas chapter of the APDA, the American Parkinson's Disease Association, that has been raising money for Parkinson's research. Don't think this event is all about the walk, May 4th will be loaded with fun activities.

The East Texas Parkinson's Optimism Walk promises, "[t]here will be a picnic, "Lively" DJ entertainment, and "Fun" Family Activities, including a bounce house, dunking booth, face painting, balloon sculptures, vendor exhibits, raffle drawings and more!"

Sign up now to participate, and come out and enjoy a day in the park while helping change someone's life for the better.
