Ed Sheeran made an appearance on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon earlier this week, and put his own laid back spin on songs with a strikingly different sound.

The sketch included Jimmy Fallon as Steve Joshua introducing Ed performing heavy metal favorite 'Run to the Hills' from Iron Maiden. He went to also cover Limp Bizkit's 'Break Stuff' and Ty Dolla $ign's 'Paranoid.'

It's pretty amazing. He also talks with Jimmy about eating pizza with Jay-Z and Beyonce and chilling in a dive bar while 'jamming some folk' music.

If you haven't seen Ed perform live, you may not know that he performs solo. He does not have a backing band. He also describes how he kills time sitting in his dressing room before shows, chain smoking, drinking tea and watching Entourage.

He also tells a tale of beating a pool shark at a dive bar in Pittsburgh. His next tour date in the Dallas area is Sept. 5, at Toyota Stadium in Frisco.
