"Touring and playing shows is my favorite part of what I do, and I really can't wait to get on the road," Ellie Goulding told MTV during their recent chat -- and getting on the road is exactly what she's about to do.

Goulding has announced a fresh run of dates for her Halcyon Tour, named for her recently released second album. Although the tour started off slowly, with a three-date string of shows that took her to New York City, Toronto, and Los Angeles, she's going to start logging some serious miles in the immediate future -- first with a spate of UK dates that will send her throughout England and Scotland in December, and then with a long list of North American shows in January and February.

It's the North American shows that Goulding has just added to her itinerary -- kicking off Jan. 16 in Miami and ending (for now) Feb. 12 at the Palladium in Los Angeles. She'll definitely be logging a lot of hours on the tour bus, but there's no shortage of demand for her music right now; not only did her massive hit 'Lights' peak at No.2 on the Billboard charts earlier in 2012, but 'Halcyon' has already cracked the Top 10 since bowing at the beginning of October.
