Evanescence singer Amy Lee, who is emblematic of female-fronted, goth-tinged rock in the early '00s, has a critically important new project on the horizon. She is pregnant with her first child.

Lee, known for her positively angelic voice and her goth princess stage attire, accented by her glossy black hair and ice blue eyes, took to Twitter to share the good news about the bun in the oven.

The singer, 32, posted the below tweet.

The "Josh" mentioned in the tweet is Lee's hubby, Josh Hartzler, a NYC-based therapist who was her longtime friend before they wed. The couple swapped vows in 2007 in her hometown of Little, Rock, Ark.

Lee certainly sounds excited to welcome her first mini rocker.

2014 is starting off huge for the singer. In addition to the baby-to-be, Lee is staring in 'War Story,' an indie film out this month which co-stars Ben Kingsley and Catherine Keener. Evanescence popped up in the news earlier this year over reports that Lee is suing the band's longtime label Wind-up Records over royalties. She also claims mismanagement.
