With the arrival of spring last week, now's the time to get out of the house and take in many outdoor (and indoor) activities in East Texas. This weekend is no exception, you can get out and see blooming trees and flowers, take in a concert and even be a part of a charity event and more!

Here are 5 things you can do this weekend:

The dogwood trees in and around historic Palestine are in full bloom and this weekends events include a scavenger hunt in downtown, historic rides along the Texas State Railroad and more.

The azalea's along Tyler's famous Azalea Trails are late in blooming this year because of the recent blast of winter weather, but they are starting to come out and the show goes on with other beautiful spring flowers. This weekend also features the arts & crafts fair at Bergfeld Park on Saturday and Sunday. More than 75 artisans will be on hand selling handmade crafts, there will be a kids zone and concessions too.

For a trip back in time, pack up the family and head south on 110 out of Tyler (between Whitehouse and Troup). You'll be treated to jousting shows, Renaissance dance, food, puppet shows, crafts and more.

The Blue Jeans & Ball Gowns is a special celebrity dancing event featuring media celebrities and public figures dancing for East Texas CASA and children of East Texas. The event is being held at the Maude Cobb Activity Center in Longview Saturday evening.

Liberty Hall in downtown Tyler presents Bob Schneider in concert Saturday evening at 8p
