Fun. is no longer the little band that could — it’s the little band that has. Thanks to a bit of help from ‘Glee,’ the group’s single, ‘We Are Young,’ has hit No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart.

The song, which is the first single from the band’s sophomore album, ‘Some Nights,’ has successfully dethroned Kelly Clarkson’s ‘Stronger (What Doesn’t Kill You),’ bumping it to the No. 2 spot. It is the first track of the New York band’s to have debuted on the chart.

According to Billboard, fun. is the first rock group in over a decade to have their debut single shoot to No. 1 on the Hot 100. The last multi-member band to accomplish this feat was Nickelback, who debuted with ‘How You Remind Me’ in December 2001/January 2002.

Congrats are also in order for Janelle Monae, too, who lends guest vocals to the catchy anthemic tune. Since its cover on ‘Glee,’ the song has been used in a Chevrolet commercial, which aired during the Super Bowl, and has been certified double platinum. This is fun. and Monae’s first No. 1 single.

‘We Are Young’ is available now on the band’s ‘Some Nights’ LP, which was released on Feb. 21.
