Sad news in the marital world. Rapper Game and his fiancée, Tiffney Cambridge, have called off their July 28 wedding. “We regret to inform you that the wedding of Tiffney Cambridge & Jayceon Taylor has been cancelled,” read a statement on the couple’s wedding website.

It’s unclear whether Tiffney and Game have separated or if they’re planning to reschedule their wedding day. According to Sister 2 Sister, a source revealed that Game spent over $500,000 on their wedding ceremony but things “didn’t work out” and “they didn’t get along.”

The news comes as a shock because days earlier, Game reportedly teamed up with 51 Minds Entertainment (the producers behind Flavor Flav’s ‘Flavor of Love’ series) and was in talks with MTV and VH1 to shoot a reality series about their summer nuptials.

According to BET, this is Game second failed attempt to walk down the aisle. In 2007, the Compton rapper was prepared to wed music executive Valeshia Butterfield but the ceremony was called off months in advance. Butterfield eventually married NBA star Dahntay Jones in 2011, and they recently had a son.

Game went on his Twitter page today (July 19) to confirm the news and blamed himself for the abrupt wedding cancellation. He tweeted:

Hopefully, Game will recover from this and one day find a ladylove to put a ring on it.
