Gavin DeGraw Hospitalized After Being Attacked In NYC [VIDEO]

Over the weekend Gavin DeGraw was attacked and ended up in the hospital with injuries while in New York City.  According to his rep, who told ABC News Radio, "Gavin DeGraw was assaulted late Sunday night and was taken to the emergency room at Bellevue Hospital by ambulance.  He is currently under observation."

The New York Post reports that Gavin DeGraw

was viciously beaten by a pack of thugs on the Lower East Side early today — and then hit by a taxi as he stumbled off, police sources said."

The attack happened between 3:50a and 4:20a and happened after he left a group of friends he had been drinking with earlier.  He suffered a broken nose, cuts to his face, black eyes and several bruises.

The latest statement from his rep reads,

Gavin and his family appreciate everyone's concern at this time. We have no information yet regarding his upcoming concert dates and promotion for his new album."

We do wish him a speedy recovery so he can get back to promoting his new album and get back on the road with Maroon 5 and Train.
