Ready for a tear jerker? We all already know that Adele is pretty unstoppable, snagging every imaginable award for ’21′ and enjoying stellar sales over a year after its release. But did you know it also saved a life?

A 7-year-old girl woke up from a coma after her mom sang ‘Rolling in the Deep.’ Grab your tissues, because it’s about to get heavy.

Charlotte Neve suffered a brain hemorrhage in her sleep that nearly killed her, leaving her unable to speak or see at all. Doctors operated on Charlotte twice, but the prognosis wasn’t good — they even told her mother, Leila, to start preparing her goodbyes. Appropriately enough in a heartbreaking situation like that, Adele’s heartbroken hit ‘Rolling in the Deep,’ a song the mother-daughter duo often sang together, came on when Leila was hugging Charlotte goodbye. (We told you you’d cry.)

Leila began singing the song to her little girl, and Charlotte, dumbfounding her doctors, began to speak and even got up from her hospital bed just days later.

“It’s a complete miracle. Doctors told me to say goodbye and I thought I was going to lose my little girl,” Leila told The Daily Mail. “I climbed into her hospital bed to give her a cuddle — she was wired up to machines and unresponsive — and Adele came on the radio. I started singing it to her because she loves her and we used to sing that song together,” Leila said.

“Charlotte started smiling and I couldn’t believe it. It was the first time she had reacted to anything since the hemorrhage. The nurses were astounded and told me to keep singing, and she smiled again,” she added. “The nurses said it was like I ‘unlocked her’ and from that day she started getting better and better.”

Charlotte, who wasn’t expected to survive at all, is thriving, even taking dance classes and going back to school. Though she’s now partially blind and suffered some memory loss, one thing you can bet she’ll remember forever is Adele’s ‘Rolling in the Deep.’

Charlotte’s big sister, Megan, said she isn’t too surprised that music is what pulled her through. “Music is a big part of her life — she loves music,” Megan said. “She loves singing and dancing along to Adele, Katy Perry and Pink. So it shouldn’t surprise me that Adele was the song that woke her up. She’s a miracle marvel.”
