Peter Dinklage is best known for his now Golden Globe winning role as Tryion Lannister in the "Game Of Thrones". Instead of taking in all of the glory and glamour that comes with winning the Golden Globe, Peter brought attention to someone that most American's have never heard of. But now, Martin Henderson has become a household name.

When making his acceptance speech for Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in a Series, Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made for Television, Dinklage ended with the statement "I want to mention a gentleman I'm thinking about in England: Martin Henderson. Google him." Within minutes the name Martin Henderson was trending on Twitter and on all search engine sites.

Martin Henderson is an aspiring actor who, like Dinklage, is a legal dwarf. One night while out celebrating his birthday, Henderson picked up and dropped by a drunken rugby fan. He was standing outside the White Horse Pub with a group of friends smoking a cigarette when all of a sudden he was dangling three and a half feet in the air and then was tossed to the ground. Henderson has said the Oct. 7 attack was inspired by a "dwarf-tossing" event that was attended by some members of England's national rugby team.

Now Henderson is partially paralyzed, due partly to an existing spinal condition. Henderson reportedly feels numbness in his lower back and legs. He also struggles to maintain his balance, and walks with the aid of braces. For longer distances, he now uses a wheelchair. Martin Henderson's dreams of becoming an actor are slowly diminishing thanks to his lack physical abilities, all because someone didn't like his size.

Bullying is a huge epidemic here in America among teens, but this just goes to show that bullying is everywhere and there is prejudice against people of all ages, races, shapes, and sizes. It breaks my heart to see people treated in such a way. Peter Dinklage did a good thing by shedding light on another type of bullying, and hopefully we are one step closer to putting an end to it for good.

Here is a short video of what people are calling "dwarf-tossing", which some people are actually trying to get legalized as a sport. It makes me sad to think that this is considered a sport these days.
