Hanson to Brew New IPA Beer, MMMHop

All three of the musical Hanson brothers are of legal drinking age, if you can believe that. That’s why Isaac, 31, Taylor, 28, and Zac, 26 have decided to brew their own beer line, appropriately named MMMHop after their 1997 smash hit, ‘MMMBop.’

“It’s vital our fans have trust in everything Hanson do,” Zac said while visiting Oxford University on Monday. “In fact we are soon going to be selling our own beer, I’m not even joking. MMMHop IPA anyone?”

Despite the fact that he swears he’s not even joking, somehow, we find ourselves questioning whether or not this is legit. Either way, can you picture yourself ordering a Hanson beer at the bar? Send a whole pitcher this way — in other words, count us in for at least a few rounds of MMMHop!

The often sarcastic youngest Hanson added, “We of course make records, they are fundamental to what we do, but we wanted to create a brand so that our fans have a greater experience.”

Greater experience indeed. Should the Indian Pale Ale come to be bottled, it’s expected out in early 2012.
