No longer content with being the most charismatic member of One Direction, Harry Styles has officially set his sights on Hollywood.

The “Perfect” singer has reportedly been offered a role in Christopher Nolan’s upcoming World War II drama Dunkirk, according to a report from Deadline.

The site says Harry’s role will not be a leading one, but offers few details as to what it'll actually entail. Mark Rylance, Kenneth Branagh and Tom Hardy have all signed on to star in the film, which focuses on the British military operation entailing the evacuation of Dunkirk during World War II.

While the type of movie comes as something of a surprise (a World War II action-drama is not where the mind immediately wanders when thoughts of Harry-as-an-actor come up), rumors of his eventual foray into Hollywood have been circulating online for quite a while now.

Just last year -- literally hours after Zayn dragged a dagger through the bloody entrails of Directioners everywhere when he announced he'd quit One Direction -- reports popped up online, claiming Harry was gearing up to break into acting.

"Harry has told his friends that the wants to get into acting. He loves Los Angeles,” a source reportedly told E! News. “Harry has distanced himself from the rest of the band over the last year. He considers himself to be on a different path to the other boys. He certainly has hopes of doing solo stuff, branching out on his own, and so this might be the natural juncture in which to do that.”

For what it's worth, Grammy award-winner Meghan Trainor is certain solo Harry "will be huge."

Side note: We assume Nolan ignored Harry's stint on iCarly when casting Dunkirk.
