Saturday night (Aug. 9) Heart of Tyler hosted their 7th annual fund raiser for Downtown Revitalization, Black Tie Bingo, with a whimsical Moulin Rouge theme.

Check out photos from the fundraiser held on the second floor and mezzanine levels of the People's Petroleum Building, currently under renovation. Thanks to Donna Wagner for attending and capturing the event.

Guests played four games of Bingo, were entertained by vocalists who performed songs from the Baz Luhrman film, Can Can Dancers from the TJC Academy of dance and had the option of participating in a giant game of rock, paper scissors. In addition to the games and entertainment, guests had the option of pulling a bottle of wine with the chance to win a diamond necklace, and have their caricature drawn.

The event was filled with laughter, joy and plenty of funds raised for the revitalization of downtown. Although a final total has not yet been calculated, the event did sell out for the first time since its inception.
