Longview's Central Fire Station, located in downtown, is currently under review by a local commission seeking historical designation for the property.

Built in 1936, the building has served many purposes in its long life, and has been well maintained throughout the years.

"We take a lot of pride in being a part of the building's rich history in Longview, being able to preserve so much of our community's history while remaining a working and fully functional fire station," Longview Fire Marshal Johnny Zackary told the Longview News-Journal.
