When Honey Boo Boo changed her Facebook banner recently it included a picture of her with Girl Scout Cookies and a price list.  That picture caught the attention of the Girl Scouts organization, who contacted her and requested her to remove the banner.

Honey Boo Boo, who's real name is Lana Thompson is the 7 year old star of TLC's Here Comes Honey Boo Boo, posted the banner on the show's Facebook page as a gesture to help a family friend sell the delicious cookies. The Girl Scouts of Historic Georgia have a problem with this though and made the request to have the banner removed mainly because she is not a Girl Scout and the organization felt like it was inappropriate to sell the cookies on someone's behalf.

Honey Boo Boo's mom, June Shannon, runs the page and complied with the request but tells TMZ.com,

If I can raise more money for a troop, whoever they are, especially in an area where they don’t get a lot of money, and parents can’t afford to buy a ton of cookies, why wouldn't I help?"
