Can a man's fingers really tell if he's nicer? According to a new study, the answer is yes.

A study published in the journal 'Personality and Individual Differences' says that men whose ring fingers are longer than their index fingers are, on average, nicer toward women and more more willing to be complimentary and compromise.

The study also suggests this may also explain why men with a larger difference in length between the two fingers tend to have more children. It's all a part of the "digit ratio" between the two fingers.

Men's ring fingers are, in general, longer than their index fingers, while it's normally the opposite for women.

In a study of 155 people, researchers found that men with longer ring fingers were 30 percent more agreeable when they were around women.
