The Jelena reunion appears to be moving right along, with Justin Bieber dedicating a song to his "baby" Selena Gomez and posting (and then deleting) 'Dirty Dancing'-style videos from their visit to a studio in Texas over the weekend. The videos showed the young, on-off couple generating heat and looking happy. But how does Sel's family feel about their reunion?

They are NOT stoked, apparently.

Some sources have blamed The Biebs for Selena's (very short) rehab stint in January, since it's suggested that she sought treatment to deal with the trauma of their split a year prior. And that is reportedly the prime reason her mother Mandy and stepfather Brian Teefey are frowning over the recoupling.

E! reported that members of Sel's family labeled the singer "a punk" and "the worst thing to ever happen to Selena" in the past. They are unable to do anything about this latest reconciliation, with an insider saying, "There's no talking to her. She's just going to do what she wants."

Well, she is 21 and it is her life. And her attraction to Biebs is magnetic, no matter what her bestie Taylor Swift thinks.

Another source told RadarOnline that the reunion is against her family's wishes and "they're doing their best to supervise them. They're tolerating it as long as they know that there is someone who has eyes on them all the time."

Jelena shippers certainly hope these two can figure out a way to make it work since they are giving it another go. Even in the year since their split, they can't seem to stay away from one another and are constantly finding away to be around one another.

Let's hope Sel can exert a positive influence over Biebs, who has been seriously wayward since their initial parting of ways.
