Hula Hoop World Record Attempt in East Texas

Natural Grocers is celebrating it's 61st anniversary Thursday, August 11, and wants to break a world record at the same time.

If you can hula hoop, meet at Natural Grocers on South Broadway in Tyler Thursday to take part. This record breaking attempt will start at 5:45 P.M. and will be spread among the 130 stores across the country.

“Anybody is invited to come out and join us. We encourage them to bring their own hula hoop and arrive about 5 to 5:15 p.m.,” Assistant Manager Grant Hennan told the Tyler Morning Telegraph.

Other events will take place throughout the day to celebrate the chain's anniversary.

• Samples of store items from 8 A.M. to 9 A.M.
• Ice cream social from 4 P.M. to 6 P.M.
• Sampling of Paleo Vegan Chicken Wrap from 4 P.M. to 6 P.M.
